Josh grew up in Lompoc and graduated from Cabrillo High School in 1999. After graduation he moved up to San Luis Obispo where he attended Cuesta Collage. From San Luis Obispo Josh moved to Northern California for a year after which he finally settled down in Santa Barbara where he and his wife Amy have both lived, with their dog Luca, since 2002.

Josh joined the Conception Tile team full time in 2002 where he continued his tile apprenticeship, which started as a young kid going to work with his dad; under the tutelage of the foreman of the Santa

Barbara crew he honed his skills as a tile setter. After a few years learning the tile trade he moved into the Slab Division of Conception Tile. Josh led the Slab Division through the modernization of the production line with a move towards digital fabrication that brought automated machinery to the shop. While maintaining an active involvement in the daily operations of the Slab Division Josh has moved into the added role of estimator and project manager.

When not at work Josh takes advantage of the Santa Barbara lifestyle as much as possible. He enjoys any outdoor activity including surfing, diving, cycling (mountain and road), water polo, swimming and backpacking. Josh and Amy are enthusiastic travelers, taking any and all invitations to any far off place in search of new experiences.
